A Chesterville man is charged with theatening and terrorizing after state police say he fired a shotgun over a woman’s head Friday.

On Friday, a woman reported to police that she had gone to a residence on the Chesterville Hill Road and had an argument with the resident of the home, Scott Henry, according to a press release from Sgt. Matt Casavant of the Maine State Police.

She reported the argument escalated and Henry pointed a shotgun at her and fired it over her head. The woman fled the home and called police.

The Maine State Police Tactical Team and Franklin County sheriff’s deputies found the victim. At around 6:30 p.m., Henry exited his home and was taken into custody by state police.

Henry has been charged with domestic violence criminal threatening with a weapon and domestic violence terrorizing. As of Sunday, Henry is being held without bail at the Franklin County Detention Center.
