A 58-year-old man was charged with marijuana possession during a traffic stop for speeding on Route 126.

Thursday police found a car crashed in the woods on Route 17. The driver was nearby and told police that he had just returned after crashing the car the night before. The driver was charged with failing to report an accident by quickest means.

Thursday at 2:57 p.m., Michael Joseph Brewer, 29, of Gardiner, was arrested on a warrant on Highland Avenue.

HALLOWELL

June 30 James Coolidge, 32, was arrested on a charge of violating the sex offender registry during a traffic stop for failing to stop at a stop sign on Water Street. The driver, a 36-year-old woman, was charged with operating after suspension.

MONMOUTH

Saturday at 8:45 a.m., Kempton Lee McDougall Jr., 25, of Monmouth, was arrested on a warrant during a traffic stop on Route 126.

WINTHROP

Friday at 10:20 a.m., Helena Bridgham, 25, of Mount Vernon, was arrested on a charge of unlawful drug possession on U.S. Route 202.

Saturday at 2 a.m., Daniel J. Provitola, 31, of Chester, N.Y., was arrested on charges of operating under the influence, failure to report an accident and leaving the scene of an accident on Route 41.
