Farmington Historical Society auction series set
FARMINGTON — The Farmington Historical Society will hold their first Summer 2014 Auction at 6 p.m. Thursday at 118 High St. Preview begins at 5 p.m. Future auctions are scheduled for Aug. 14 and Sept. 11.
Proceeds from the auctions will be used to continue church building renovations which will enable use by the public and private organizations. Current renovation projects are the expansion of the altar area for use as a performance stage, electrical for performer’s sound systems, and heating and air conditioning for the upstairs performance area.
Donation of items for the auctions are being accepted Saturday mornings at 126 High St. (the Octagon House) from 9 a.m. to noon. Consignment items will also be accepted. For large item or large quantity pickup call auction coordinator Dan Maxham at 491-8635.
