SANFORD — The Sanford Police Department has identified a man whose body was pulled from the Mousam River on July 11.
The body of 59-year-old William J. Fawcett of Springvale was found near the dam on Mill Street in the Springvale section of town.
The investigation into Fawcett’s death revealed no suspicious circumstances and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed that Fawcett drowned accidentally, police said in a news release Wednesday.
