RICHMOND – The fourth annual Richmond Area Health Center 5k and one-mile fun run and walk will take place Saturday, July 26.

The fun run and walk will begin at 7:45 a.m. and the 5k race will start at 8 a.m. Registration for both events begins at 7 a.m. in the health center parking lot, 24 Gardiner St. The course will wind through historic downtown Richmond, beginning and ending at the health center. Dogs are welcome on the fun run.

Prizes will be awarded for overall male and female winners and top male and female finishers in 15 age divisions. Food and refreshments will be provided.

Advance registration for the 5K costs $15 or $25 with an event T-shirt or $20 or $30 with a T-shirt on the day of the race. Registration for the fun run costs $10 or $20 with an event T-shirt.

There will also be a raffle drawing for a 12-foot cedar strip Otter canoe built by local craftsperson Anne Schaad. Tickets cost $1 each, $5 for seven, $10 for 15 and $20 for 35 and are available at the health center. Those who bring in a food donation will receive one free raffle ticket.

Proceeds from the raffle and the 5k will benefit the health center and the Richmond Food Pantry. Registration for the 5k race is available at the health center or online at www.RichmondCHC.org.
