I hear the complaints from far and near: Children are flooding across our borders; we need to call out the National Guard.
The brown hordes from Central America have knocked down the gate. Eighty thousand are already here.
I hear Republicans say, “They are dirty. They are diseased. They do not speak English. They are potential Democrat voters.”
What I do not hear is Christians urging, “Suffer the little children to come unto me.”
Or pro-lifers crying, “Save the children.”
Those who wish these children ill, deserve the millstone treatment described in Luke 17:2:
“It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause one of these little ones to stumble.” (New American Standard Bible)
