Local public libraries create a community space, a career center, a safe place for our kids and, yes, a place to just come and curl up with a good story, whether it is on a computer, a mobile phone or in a book.

A library is the place to come to when you need space for your children to play and learn; visit and explore. The library oftentimes is the heart of the community, the anchor business for our great downtowns and the information center for lifelong learners.

The Gardiner Public Library is able to create this regional space because it is supported by the five municipalities that surround it: Gardiner, Litchfield, Pittston, Randolph and West Gardiner. The library’s staff would like to thank the residents of those communities for their yearly support. For more than 133 years, the Gardiner Public Library has been the community center for all these towns, and we look forward to serving everyone from these partner communities. Come on over and check out a few good books
