LEWISTON — Police in Lewiston are investigating after a 60-year-old man died at the hospital following a fight outside an apartment building.

Officers responded to the Lisbon Street apartment just before 5 p.m. Wednesday after getting calls about an altercation involving several people.

The man, believed to be the landlord, was involved in the argument and at some point collapsed. He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center by family where he was pronounced dead.

His name was not immediately released.

Police say the man had a history of heart problems and are investigating whether his death had any connection to the altercation.

An autopsy is scheduled and no one has been charged with a crime.
