An Industry woman reported being bitten in each leg by two dogs while taking a walk, according to Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols.

Nichols said the woman was walking on Times Square Road when she encountered two dogs that were acting aggressively.

He said a German shepherd and a Labrador retriever bit the woman, each biting a leg.

The woman was treated on scene by Northstar Ambulance for cuts to the legs and then took herself to the doctor for further treatment, Nichols said.

Nichols said after the bites were reported at 10:09 a.m., Deputy Matthew Brann responded along with the Industry animal control officer to make sure the dogs were up to date on their vaccinations.

The dogs’ owner and the woman who was bitten know each other, and Nichols said the woman did not want to press charges. Nichols said the dogs were normally fenced in but had escaped.
