SKOWHEGAN — Police are investigating three motor vehicle burglaries reported Thursday morning in the neighborhood around North Avenue.

All the vehicles were unlocked, said Skowhegan Police Chief Ted Blais. The burglaries took place on North Avenue, Jimmy Street and Parlin Street, he said.

Stolen items included a pocketbook, GPS and electronics. The burglaries are believed to be related and are being investigated, said Blais.

“I’ve been preaching this to people, that they need to either lock their doors or to remove valuables from their vehicles,” he said.
