The Maine Department of Environmental Protection has issued draft approval of an industrial wind project in Bingham that would involve blasting the mountains where much of our drinking water in central Maine originates.

The DEP has not held public hearings on the First Wind project even though residents have requested this several times.

Sen. Angus King’s very wealthy friends will become even wealthier if this project is allowed to ruin the scenery and clean water that have long created tourism jobs for Maine people to feed their families.

I urge others to contact the DEP to voice their objections and demand a public hearing.
