BELFAST — Sarah Wildes scored twice in the second half to help the Winslow field hockey team pull away from Belfast 4-0 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Friday afternoon.

Jessica Greeley and Ciera Poulin staked Winslow to a 2-0 lead with first-half goals. McKenzie Winslow had a pair of assists for the Black Raiders, while goalie Delaney Wood stopped all three shots she faced. Madison Littlefield made nine saves for the Lions (0-1).

MESSALONSKEE 8, MT. ARARAT 0: Emily Hogan scored five goals to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Ally Turner add a goal and two assists for the Eagles (2-0). Riley Field and Haley Lowell also scored. Shelby French made one save.

Haley Frizzle stopped 22 shots for Mt. Ararat (0-2).

BREWER 4, WATERVILLE 1: MJ Sellers scored a goal and Brooke Richards had five saves to lead the Witches to the KVAC B victory.

Sage Hafenecker scored to lead Waterville (0-1) while Caitlin White added five saves.

MCI 3, MARANACOOK 1: Kali Doiron, Addi Williams and Elly Arsenault each scored to lead the Huskies. Mikayla Carr needed to make just one save to earn the win for the Huskies (1-0).

Amber Ridlon scored the long goal for the Black Bears (0-1).

COLLEGE FIELD HOCKEY

No. 10 UMASS 3, MAINE 2 (OT): Melanie Kreusch scored early in overtime to lift UMass past Maine in Amherst, Mass.

Maine forward Cassidy Svetek forced overtime with a goal late in the second half, but it wasn’t enough. Skowhegan native Nicole Sevey also scored for the Black Bears (1-3).

Brooke Sabia scored two goals for the Minutewomen (1-2).

SKOWHEGAN 4, MT. BLUE 0: Lauren LeBlanc scored two goals and as many assists to lead the Indians past the Cougars in a KVAC A game. Renee Wright and Cassidy Clement also scored for Skowhegan (2-0).

Haley Thebarge, Brooke Michonski and Rylie Blanchet each had assists. Leah Kruse had seven saves to earn the shutout.

Mt. Blue dropped to 0-2.
