FREEPORT — Maine Businesses are preparing for a rush of tourists hoping to see the state’s colorful foliage this fall.

Manager Fritz Appleby tells WMTW that Bradbury Mountain State Park officials are tending to trails and getting the park ready as they gear up for the busy season.

Appleby says he’s already seeing leaves’ colors change in the swampy areas of the park.

Ann Marie Lee, assistant manager of Mangy Moose, a Freeport clothing and home goods store, says that a good fall foliage season brings many tour buses to the area.

Experts say that an ideal fall foliage season is shaping up thanks to abundant rainfall and cooler weather this spring and summer.
