WATERVILLE — Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area recently held its 13th annual Swing for Hope and Hospice Golf Tournament and netted nearly $12,000 to benefit Hope’s Place a program for grieving children and teens.

Nearly 70 golfers participated in the event, which was held at Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro. Tournament highlights included opportunities for both men and women to compete for many prizes donated by area businesses. Prizes were awarded for lowest gross and net scores for men and women, straightest fairway drive, closest to the pin, longest drive for both men and women and a putting contest.
