OAKLAND — Messalonskee scored three goals within a seven-minute span midway through the first half to down Lawrence 4-1 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference A boys soccer game Thursday.

James Kouletsis put Messalonskee (1-2-0) on the board in the 13th minute, and less than 90 seconds later, Shea McCann doubled his team’s advantage. Elijah Tuell rounded out the scoring for the Eagles with the remaining two Messalonskee goals, while Zoli Nagy tallied the lone Lawrence (0-2-1) score.

Jonah Webb and Dylan Jones had three saves each for the Eagles, while Coale Frechette and Dylan Jones made five and three saves, respectively, for the Bulldogs.

OXFORD HILLS 3, CONY 2: Joey Gallant had a goal and assisted on two others to lead the Vikings to the KVAC A win in Augusta.

Andrew Flemming and Garrett McLaughlin also had goals for Oxford Hills (1-1-0), while both Cony (0-2-1) scores came courtesy of Conner Perry.

Oxford Hills goalie Jake Beauchesne made 16 saves in the win.

MESSALONSKEE 4, LAWRENCE 4: Hannah Walsh scored two goals to help Lawrence earn a tie with Messalonskee in a KVAC A game in Fairfield.

Asia Sweet and Raeghan Moody also scored for the Bulldogs (1-1-1).

Kassadi McPherson, McKenna Brodeur, Lauren Pickett and Molly Ann Killingbeck each scored Messalonskee (0-2-1).

Jilli McAllister, Paige Belanger, Mallory Beane and Morgan Boudreau each had assists for Lawrence.

Lauren Wadleigh had 15 saves for the Bulldogs.

FIELD HOCKEY

 

SKOWHEGAN 13, BRUNSWICK 0: The Indians responded from their first loss since 2009 in dominant fashion with a convincing win in Brunswick over the Dragons.

Brooke Michonski led the onslaught with six goals, while Renee Wright chipped in with three scores. Julia Steeves, Lauren LeBlanc, Cassidy Clement and Abby Stevens also scored goals for Skowhegan (3-1).

Julia Weston had 26 saves in the loss for Brunswick (0-4).

LAWRENCE 3, OXFORD HILLS 1: In a matchup of two unbeaten teams, the Bulldogs came back with three goals in the second half to defeat the Vikings in South Paris.

Domi Lewis had two goals for Lawrence and Hallee Parlin added one. McKenna Rogers dished out two assists and Lauren Watson also had an assist.

Emily Tozier had four saves for Lawrence (4-0). Oxford Hills is 3-1.
