SMITHFIELD — Rapid Renewal, the Department of the Secretary of State’s online service for the renewal of motor vehicle registrations, is now available to the town’s residents.
The e-commerce service allows residents to conduct business with municipal government and state government in one online transaction. While municipal participation in Rapid Renewal is optional, the service has now grown to include 185 municipalities and more than 1,028,953 transactions have been processed.
Rapid Renewal can be accessed through sosonline.org, the Secretary of State’s site for online services.
