WATERVILLE — Leading Women’s Luncheon with Kathie Summers-Grice is set for noon Tuesday at Best Western Plus, 375 Main St. A networking reception will begin at 11:30 a.m.

For more than 25 years Summers-Grice has been advising clients that include elected officials, Fortune 500 companies and non-profits on how to build and sustain powerful and effective grassroots public affairs strategies and campaigns.

She is noted as being the architect of two of the biggest upset victories in the last 10 years in Republican politics in New England as chief strategist for Lincoln Chafee’s stunning come from behind primary win in 2006 and Republicans sweep of the Maine Senate in 2010. In addition, she was a senior advisor to the Presidential campaigns of George W. Bush in 2004 and Fred Thompson in 2008.

She has developed and implemented successful public affairs campaigns for corporate clients Delta Airlines, eBay, Pfizer and Ford and for local New England initiatives on card check, gambling, dental care expansion and clean energy.

She has been named one of the most influential people in Republican politics in Maine and was on Campaign and Elections list of their top 500 influencers. She served four years in the Administration of George W. Bush as the Regional Representative for the U.S. Department of Labor in Boston.

She lives in Belgrade with her husband Roy Grice and is the president of EatonRiver Strategies, a company she founded in 2006.

Cost is $20 for members or $25 general admission. Registration is required and includes luncheon buffet. Space is limited.
