Recent articles and letters in your paper indicate that the poem by Emma Lazarus that adorns the Statue of Liberty is no longer appropriate and should be revised. I suggest the following:

Spare me your tired, your poor,

Get lost, you huddled masses, disappear!

I reject the refuse of your teeming shore;

Your little children are not welcome here.

I’ve turned my lamp out, and I’ve shut the door.
