Maine Conservation Voters announced recently that Rep. Gay Grant, D-Gardiner, earned a perfect score on its 2014 Legislative Scorecard with her consistent votes to improve public health, responsibly steward our natural resources and preserve our outdoor heritage.

The scorecard highlights Grant’s instrumental leadership in the Legislature’s rejection of rule changes that would have put Maine waters at risk from mining pollution. She has also been a strong advocate for defending Maine’s lakes from pollution and invasive species, promoting affordable clean energy and protecting children from harmful chemicals.

Grant knows Maine’s natural resources are inextricably linked to our economy and way of life. I’d like to thank her for her hard work and dedication to our state’s future and urge voters in Gardiner and Farmingdale to re-elect her to the House this fall.
