I support re-electing Catherine Nadeau, D-Winslow (District 78), for the Maine House of Representatives to represent Winslow and southern Benton.

Cathy is an effective member of the Local and County Government Committee. Her experience on the Winslow Town Council enables her to understand issues considered by this committee. She serves diligently and with integrity. She opposed reduction of state revenue sharing for municipalities and schools, which result in increasing property taxes. When re-elected, she will support restoration of state revenue sharing programs.

Cathy supports legislation that discourages use of energy that contributes accumulation of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere. In 2014, Cathy voted pro-environment on all 12 of the legislative bills rated by the Maine Conservation Voters organization. She supported legislation to enable forest rangers to be armed, and more funding for nursing homes. She is always ready to listen to the concerns of her constituents as she considers how she will vote.
