WAYNE —Paul Kando, co-founder of Midcoast Green Collaborative, will provide a free Homeowner’s Energy Clinic at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Ladd Recreation Center, 26 Gott Road, as part of Sustain Wayne’s initiative to lessen dependence on fossil fuels.
The clinic will address: the basic physics of a heated house; passive house approach to construction; energy audits; efficiency improvement techniques; and how forming a local energy cooperative can help homeowners reduce their heating costs and dependence on oil.
The evening will begin with a potluck dinner at 6 p.m., followed by Kando’s presentation at 7 p.m.
