York County sheriff’s deputies responding to a report of a tractor rollover in Parsonsfield Wednesday found the tractor operator dead at the scene.
The man, identified as John David, 66, of Parsonsfield had been pulling a stump from the ground with his International farm tractor when it tipped over, pinning him underneath, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred at 12:16 p.m. at 121 Collins Road, police said.
Emergency personnel from Sacopee Valley Rescue also responded to the scene.
