Rebecca Cornell du Houx of Augusta, Democratic candidate for Senate 15, has honorably served 11 years in the Maine National Guard as specialist engineer and combat medic. She served two Iraq tours.
She also has helped build schools in El Salvador, assisted with Hurricane Katrina reconstruction in Louisiana and helped renovate the Children’s YMCA in Winthrop.
Rebecca’s bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maine at Farmington qualifies her for her job of assisting with the transitioning of military personnel into our communities and back to work. Her experience working on behalf of veterans, Department of Health and Human Services, the mentally ill, youth, education and the less fortunate members of our society will serve us all well in the Senate.
Rebecca will ensure that education is adequately funded, pensions are secure and property taxes are affordable.
