I urge voters in West Gardiner, Manchester and Hallowell to join me Nov. 4 in voting for Charlotte Warren, a Democrat from Hallowell, to represent District 84.
After 23 years in government, including a stint as deputy commissioner of the Maine Department of Economic & Community Development, I know what it takes to encourage economic and community development. Leaders must be willing to sit down with business owners and citizens to create economic opportunities while balancing community needs.
Look at the city of Hallowell, bustling day and night throughout the week. Under Charlotte’s leadership as mayor for four years, and City Council for 12, Hallowell’s economy has flourished. After the collapse of the ice arena, Charlotte worked tirelessly with the owners to keep both them and the leagues here. Charlotte has clearly shown she can bring all parties to the table.
Charlotte will move Maine’s economy forward.
