To elect a better governor than we have suffered with these last four years, our choice is between high school graduate and mill worker Mike Michaud and a well-educated, accomplished man, Eliot Cutler.

Despite Cutler’s broad experience in government, he has never forgotten his roots growing up in Bangor. He is humble and understands the struggles of the least fortunate among us. He would weed out welfare fraud without shaming those who need it. He would restore revenue sharing to reverse property tax increases brought us by Paul LePage. He certainly doesn’t believe Social Security and Medicare are welfare.

Cutler’s broad experience in government, including working for Edmund Muskie and Jimmy Carter, assures us he would be one of the best governors this state has ever elected, (apologies to Angus King). How can anyone forget that he was just a few votes short of beating LePage in the last election?
