Rep. Mike Michaud has a good reputation for dealing with individual’s problems brought to his attention during his tenure in Congress.

He has no record for spotting even major problems, such as the Department of Veterans Affairs scheduling scandal, until his nose is shoved in them.

He has brought the same approach to his campaign for governor, as was made conspicuous by his staff’s involvement in allowing a video to be made about him that calls him the “King of Maine,” a bit of excessive pride even if he was already elected.

He, and they, admit they didn’t pay enough attention to notice it insulted Sen. Susan Collins by name, and don’t seem to have noticed yet that it puts him in the role of a pimp. No wonder the singer laughed when he heard they actually used the line.

Do we need someone that oblivious as our governor?
