WINSLOW —The Winslow Public Library will participate in Star Wars Reads Day this year. On Friday, Oct. 10, the original “Star Wars” trilogy will be shown in the meeting room starting at 11 a.m. Those who wish can watch one, two, or all three movies. Craft supplies will be available to create something while watching a movie.

Saturday, Oct. 11, is the official Star Wars Reads Day. At 10:30 a.m., a Star Wars-themed story time is planned. There also will be plenty of Star Wars crafts from 10 until noon, along with more surprises. Those who attend are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite character.

Star Wars Reads Day began in 2012 as a day to celebrate Star Wars and literacy, according to a news release. It is celebrated internationally.
