PITTSFIELD — Sebasticook Valley Health will host its annual Community Health Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 18, at Maine Central Institute’s Wright Gymnasium. The theme will be “Celebrating Traditions of Care,” this year’s fair will also host the 20th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. Admission to both events is free.

Returning to Wright Gymnasium, the Community Health Fair organizers plan to provide seasonal flu shots for adults, nutrition education, drug identification, hands-only CPR/Pet CPR instruction, senior resources, health screenings, and local health services offered throughout the community.

Every year, the SVH Breast Cancer Awareness Walk raises money for the Nancy Stone Fund, which provides free mammograms and other breast health services to area women who cannot afford these services because of a lack of insurance or under insurance.

The adult flu shot clinic will provide seasonal flu shots for $25 per person or free when you show Medicare card. Anyone interested in receiving a flu shot is requested to wear a short-sleeve shirt.
