We all have our outlooks about Question 1; mine is that the biologists in our state have their ducks in a row. They are well-educated and have been praised for their work.

Let’s add lobster fishing to the amendment. How different is it to put bait in a trap and throw the lobster into boiling water? I assume that these people believe that lobsters do have feelings. I ask people who support Question 1, how would they vote if lobsters were included? Oh, let me guess; they’d probably say, “It is not the same.”

What is next? No more mousetraps? Bait is set in a spot where they are sure to have their backbone broken or crushed.

What about fly strips? How painful must it be for a fly stuck to a fly strip by their wings for days before they die.

I am voting no on Question 1.
