Sheepscot Valley Conservation Association has released a limited edition poster celebrating its 45th anniversary.

Based on a watercolor painting of the Sheepscot River, “Sheepscot Summer (Kingfisher),” by local artist Jon Luoma, proceeds from poster sales will support the association’s programs that help protect the Sheepscot River watershed, according to a news release.

The painting shows the forested wildlife corridor that runs from the Atlantic Ocean to the Sheepscot’s inland headwaters, with a female Belted Kingfisher in the foreground. The poster was printed in a limited edition of 250 and each is signed by the artist. The cost is $25 for one or $40 for two.

The poster is available at Alna Store and Wizard of Odds & Ends in Alna; the Green Bean Coffee Shop in South China; Sarah’s Cafe and Treats in Wiscasset; Sheepscot General Store in Whitefield; Sheepscot Pottery in Edgecomb; Salt Bay Framers, Skidompha Library and Maine Coast Book Shop, all in Damariscotta; and the SVCA office, 624 Sheepscot Road, Newcastle.
