AUGUSTA — Capital Area Technical Center recently announced its November students of the month in a news release from Stephanie Turgion, student services coordinator at CATC.

Casey Gagne, a Monmouth Academy senior, is enrolled in the certified nursing assistant program. Her instructor, Melissa Dumoulin said in the release, “Casey is an amazing, caring young woman that is always ready and willing to help in all situations. Casey has enjoyed her clinical experiences at Glenridge, even though they have pushed her outside of her comfort zone. Casey aspires to pursue a career as either a pediatric nurse practitioner or maternity room RN.”

Shawn Mackbach, a Cony student enrolled for the second year in the Building Construction program. His instructor, Bruce Baker said in the releas, “Shawn comes to class everyday with a positive attitude and is ready to learn. A highlight of his class was being part of the team that constructed a house in partnership with KVCAP (Kennebec Valley Community Action Program) in Cony Village. Shawn plans to pursue a career as a residential carpenter.”
