York police say someone used power tools to break into an ATM safe at the Meadowbrook Plaza on Route 1.
Detective Sgt. Thomas Cryan said the burglary occurred Sunday evening, when someone broke into the Bank of America at Meadowbrook Plaza and used power tools to break into an ATM safe. The suspect or suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash.
York police said they obtained video of the crime from surveillance cameras at Bank of America and surrounding businesses. Police are investigating along with Bank of America officials.
Anyone with information about the theft can offer a tip by contacting Seacoast Crime Stoppers at 439-1199 or by logging on to www.seacoastcrimestoppers.org. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
