WALES — Danielle Samson led a balanced Oak Hill offense with 10 points as the Raiders jumped out to a 16-4 lead and never looked back to defeat Wiscasset, 50-30, in a Mountain Valley Conference girls basketball game Monday night.

Jamie Prue chipped in with nine points while Sadie Goulet and Brianna Mulherin added eight points apiece for the Raiders (6-0). Colleen Hendricks led Wiscasset (3-5) with 10 points.

CONY/MONMOUTH 2, MASSABESIC/BONNY EAGLE/OLD ORCHARD BEACH 1: Drew Keithley scored with 7 minutes, 8 seconds remaining in overtime off a faceoff won by Tyler Curtis to give the Rams (1-3-0) their first win of the season Monday at the Bank of Maine Ice Vault.

Cam Wilson had the other Rams goal off an assist from Avery Pomerleau, while Tom Small made 14 saves in net.

Brandon Roy had the lone goal for MOB (2-5-0).

COAST GUARD 67, COLBY 65: Carylanne Wolfington, a graduate of Hall-Dale High School, finished with a game-high 25 points but it was not enough as the Mules suffered a two-point loss to the Bears at Embry-Riddle University in Dayton Beach, Fla.

Wolfington — who also finished with eight rebounds — had a chance to win it at the buzzer, but her 3-point attempt was off the mark.

Caitlyn Nolan finished with 14 points, six rebounds, five steals and three assists for Colby (8-2), while Brooke Chandor and Cony grad Mia Diplock both had eight points.
