SALEM — Thea Sweet scored 12 points and the Hall-Dale girls basketball team parlayed an early big lead into a 39-21 victory over Mt. Abram in a Mountain Valley Conference game Thursday night.

Nicole Pelletier scored eight points and Maddie Hallowell added six for the Bulldogs (6-3).

Olivia Ryan scored 16 points to lead the Roadrunners (1-9).

OAK HILL 44, MADISON 30: Grace Sabine and Bri Mulherin each scored nine points to lead the Raiders in Wales.

Meagan Crosby added eight points for Oak Hill (8-1).

Kayla Bess and Madeline Wood each scored nine points for Madison.

BOYS BASKETBALL

MESSALONSKEE 52, BRUNSWICK 48: Down five points with four minutes to play, the Eagles came back to beat the Dragons in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game in Brunswick.

Nick Mayo led Messalonskee (7-4) with 20 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks. Taylor Turner added 13 points for the Eagles.

Alex Bandouveres led Brunswick (4-6) with 14 points.

CONY 75, BANGOR 65: Tyler Tardiff and Liam Stokes each scored 19 points to lead the Rams to the KVAC A victory in Augusta. T.J. Cusick chipped in with 15 points for the Rams (8-3), who improved to 8-1 in their last nine games.

Ethab Doorman scored 14 points to pace Bangor (4-6).
