BINGHAM — Collin Miller scored 20 points as the Valley boys basketball team took a 55-46 Class D win over Searsport on Saturday.

Miller also grabbed 11 rebounds. Cody Laweryson had 10 points and 11 assists for the Cavaliers (7-3).

Troy Reynolds scored 20 points for Searsport, while Barrett Grant scored 18.

CARRABEC 45, OAK HILL 43: The Cobras outscored the Raiders 22-17 in the second half to pull away for their first win of the season in Mountain Valley Conference action in Wales.

Dustin Crawford scored 13 points to lead Carrabec (1-9) while William Crawford added 11.

Oak Hill (2-9) was led by Dalton Therrien with 20 points and Evan Boston with eight.

FOREST HILLS 67, TEMPLE 49: Tanner Daigle scored 19 points to help the Tigers take the Class D win in Jackman.

Matt Turner added 17 points for Forest Hills, which improved to 9-0. Brandon Ouellette added 11 points for the Tigers.

Joseph Rossignol led Temple (3-6) with eight points.

MESSALONSKEE 55, LAWRENCE 37: Nick Mayo scored 25 points to lead the Eagles to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win in Fairfield.

Nate Violette scored nine points for Messalonksee (8-4).

Mason Cooper and Dustin Simpson-Bragg each scored nine points for Lawrence (2-9).

OXFORD HILLS 71, MT. BLUE 45: Andrew Fleming scored 20 points to lead the Vikings to the KVAC A win in South Paris.

Blake Slicer scored 16 points for Oxford Hills (6-5), and Tyus Ripley added 15 for the Vikings.

Zack Mittelstadt scored 21 points to lead Mt. Blue (1-10).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

OAK HILL 41, CARRABEC 35: Down 11 points to start the fourth quarter, Bri Mulherin made seven free throws, Jamie Prue hit five and Grace Sabine scored five points to lead a comeback as the Raiders earned the MVC win in Wales.

Mulherin finished with 12 points for Oak Hill (9-1) while Prue had 10 and Sabine seven points and six rebounds.

Carrabec (5-6) was led by Emma Pluntke with 10 points and Mickayla Willette with eight.

SEARSPORT 44, VALLEY 30: Brittany Ward scored 15 points to lead Searsport to the Class D win in Bingham.

Melinda Ogden added 11 points for Searsport. Dalayne Davis led Valley (4-7) with 11 points.

FOREST HILLS 71, TEMPLE 28: Linda Riley scored 25 points as the Tigers took the Class D win in Jackman.

Caitlin Logston added 12 points for Forest Hills (8-1).

Kiara Carr led Temple (2-6) with 15 points.

BOYS HOCKEY

ST. DOMINIC 9, LAWRENCE/SKOWHEGAN 2: Cody Martin and Adam Littlefield each scored goals for Lawrence/Skowhegan in a Class A loss to the Saints.

Andrew Carpenter, Sam Hager and Trey Michonski each had assists for Lawrence/Skowhegan (1-6-1).

Ryan Lutrzykowski had two goals for the Saints (6-1-1).

WATERVILLE 9, HOULTON-HODGDON 2: Michael Oliveira scored a pair of first period goals to help Waterville take the win.

Jackson Aldridge also scored twice for Waterville (6-3). Nick Denis had a goal and two assists for the Purple Panthers.

Logan Kearner made 12 saves for Waterville. Noah Blake made 30 stops for Houlton-Hodgdon (0-6).
