A former boxer from Rome will have a criminal trespassing charge against him dismissed if he successfully gets through a probationary period without any further violations of the law, according to court records.

Darin Knight, 34, was charged in May for allegedly kicking in the door of a woman’s house in Fairfield. He pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal mischief in August and that charge was dismissed as part of a deferred disposition agreement.

A second charge of criminal trespassing will also be dismissed if Knight successfully gets through a probationary period without any violations. He is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 19.
