BANGOR — A Presque Isle man who pulled a gun on a bouncer after he had been thrown out of a bar has been sentenced to seven years on prison.

Wayne Boulier was also sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Bangor to three years of probation. The 34-year-old Boulier pleaded guilty in February to being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was prohibited from possessing guns because he had 12 prior state felony convictions.

Prosecutors say in April 2013 Boulier went to a bar. A bouncer told him that he needed to leave and escorted him to the door. As the defendant fell onto the sidewalk, he pulled up his shirt and pulled out a loaded pistol.

A customer and a second bouncer restrained Boulier and took the gun.
