WATERVILLE — Chris Hudnut became the 36th player in Colby men’s basketball program history to score 1,000 points in his career Friday night, when he finished with 26 in a 75-70 victory over Hamilton in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game.

Hudnut shot 9 for 16 from the field. He also made eight of his nine free throw attempts.

Hudnut finished the game with 16 rebounds and four assists as well.

Ryan Jann and Luke Westman each had 12 points for the Mules (10-5, 3-0 in the NESCAC).

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

COLBY 47, HAMILTON 45: Haley Driscoll and Carylanne Wolfington each scored 11 points to lead Colby in Clinton, N.Y.

Caitlyn Nolan scored nine points and Brooke Chandor added eight to pace the Mules (11-3, 2-1 in NESCAC).

Sam Graber scored 11 points to lead Hamilton (9-6, 1-2).

MEN’S HOCKEY

COLBY 5, WESLEYAN 2: Kai Frankville’s first goal of the season snapped a 2-2 tie and helped lift the Mules at Alfond Rink.

The Mules improved to 5-7-2 overall and 2-5-2 in the league. Frankville, a defensemen, scored on the power play with 4 minutes, 55 seconds left in the second period off assists from Cam MacDonald and EJ Rauseo.
