WATERVILLE — No serious injuries were reported Tuesday evening in an accident in which a snowmobile and car collided on West River Road, police said.
The accident, reported around 5 p.m., stopped traffic for about a half-hour during the afternoon rush hour. A Waterville police officer at the scene said any further information would have to come from Sgt. Brian Gardiner, of the Waterville police. A phone call to Gardiner was not returned immediately.
The car’s driver, who did not want to give her name, said she was not hurt and that the snowmobiler had pulled out in front of her on the road in the area of Waterville Junior High School.
