AUGUSTA — “Springtime in Paris” is set for 6-9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at Le Club Calumet.

Proceeds from the event will benefit two community programs that support the learning of French: the Maine French Heritage Language Program, and French at the University of Maine at Augusta. The MFHLP — Augusta is an afterschool elementary French Language program, offered by the city of Augusta Recreation Bureau at Lincoln Elementary, that promotes the understanding of local Franco-American culture, as well as French cultures around the world, according to a news release from UMA.

French at UMA offers classes and supports cultural programming to bring students and community members together to appreciate the richness and vitality of Maine’s Franco-American community, according to the.

Le Club Calumet will have food available during a performance by Joelle Morris, who will sing Edith Piaf songs. The live and silent auctions will be an opportunity to secure items with both French and eclectic flavors.
