A Farmington man was taken to the hospital following a logging accident Tuesday morning.

The man, who was not identified, was logging in the woods along Route 133 near the Sandy River Nursing Care Center when a tree fell on him around 10:30 a.m., said Farmington Fire and Rescue Chief Terry Bell.

The man was logging with another man who called for help after the accident.

Bell said Farmington firefighters assisted Northstar Ambulance, who transported the injured man to Franklin Memorial Hospital. Bell said the fire department would not reveal the extent of his injuries.
