Police say the death of a Houlton man was a homicide and are looking for anyone who may have seen the victim or his truck over the weekend.

The body of Keith Suitter, 61, was found by a friend late Sunday night at the mobile home where he lived alone at 412 Hillview Ave., according to a news release by Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

The friend went to check on Suitter after Suitter’s red Ford F-150 pickup truck was found stuck in a snowbank about a half mile from his home, where he has lived for about 20 years.

An autopsy is scheduled Tuesday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta.

Anyone who has information or who saw Suitter or his truck is asked to call the Maine State Police barracks in Houlton at 532-5400.

The Houlton Police Department also is participating in the investigation.

Detectives on Monday gathered evidence from Suitter’s home and from the scene where the truck went off the road.
