After defeating Jeremy Fields of Danbury, Conn., 4-1, in the preliminary round, he knocked off Cameron Bennett of Nashua North (N.H.) in the championship quarterfinals, 7-1.

Del Gallo met Chad Gassaway of Mt. Anthony (Vt.) in the semifinals and led, 1-0, after two periods. But Gassaway rallied with a reversal and a two-point near fall and eventually won, 5-3, to advance to the finals.

Del Gallo defeated Fields again in the consolation semifinals, 10-3, before Timmy Kane of Fairfield Warde (Ct.) edged him in the finals, 7-6.
