Children’s Discovery Museum, 171 Capitol St., suite 2, in Augusta, has announced its new summer camps. All camps take place from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, with a snack provided. The cost is $100 per camp for members, and $115 per camp for nonmembers, according to a news release from the museum.

Spark Camp, ages 3-6

• “Super Hero Training,” June 22-26: Design a character, write a comic, create a costume and then complete a top secret super hero mission, with a chance to meet real-life super heroes.

• “Squish, Fizz, Bubble,” July 6-10: Transform into a mad scientist with slimes, eruptions, fizz, giant bubbles, chemical and physical reactions, and everything messy. Setup and test experiments, make observations and more.

• “Backyard Farming,” July 20-24: Dig hands in fresh soil, mix up a batch of compost, tend to the garden, whip up a tasty meal with freshly grown produce and watch a live worm wiggle.

• “‘Frozen’ and Other Fairy Tales,” Aug. 3-7: Bring favorite fairy tale to life — plant beanstalks, experiment with ice, build a giant castle, dress up like characters, make own dragon and more.

Camp Flame, ages 7-9

• “Invitation to Invention,” June 29-July 3: The world is full of machines, both simple and complex. Explore real inventions and design one.

• “Cook Boss,” July 13-17: The week will include black box challenges, food experimentation and solar ovens. Learn the history of favorite ingredients, basic kitchen safety, world flavors and more.

• “Wilderness Survival,” July 27-31: Become an expert of the outdoors, learn how to survive in the backyard, master tree identification, build a shelter, learn how to pitch a tent, and more.

• “Spy Boot Camp,” Aug. 10-14: Test physical fitness, sharpen brain, perfect problem-solving skills, create a disguise and practice cracking codes.

Sibling: A $10 discount will be given for siblings in camp for the same week.

Multiple camps: Register the same camper for more than one camp and receive $10 off. (First camp is full price)

To receive discounts, payment must be made at registration. Discounts can not be combined.
