The Kennebec Valley Garden Club is accepting applications from students or teachers who are entering or enrolled in a horticulture or environmental program. The Barrows Fund Scholarship, ranging from $500 to $1,000, will be given based on scholastic ability, financial need, civic contributions and acceptance to an accredited school, according to a news release from the club.

Applicants must reside in Kennebec County. Applications can be obtained from area school guidance offices, student financial aid offices or at mainegardenclubs.org. Application deadline is April 30.
