Wayne’s Cary Memorial Library will host Gary Fish who will talk about “YardScaping” at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 11. The YardScaping partnership hopes to inspire Maine people to create and maintain healthy landscapes through ecologically based practices that minimize reliance on water, fertilizer and pesticides, according to a news release from the library. To learn more go to yardscaping.org.

Fish works as the manager of the Pesticide Programs at the Maine Board of Pesticides Control, a YardScaping partner. He considers himself as entomologist from birth and was inspired to love plants by his mother who always grew “beautiful” roses and rock gardens. He also is an aspiring landscape and nature photographer.

The library is at 17 Old Winthrop Road, just off Route 133 in downtown Wayne. For more information, call 685-3612.
