The Augusta Symphony Orchestra will conclude its regular 2014-15 season at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at Hope Baptist Church, 726 Western Ave., in Manchester. The major piece is Robert Schumann’s Symphony #4 and the first part of the program will feature an important, if obscure, chamber piece by the 19th century American composer, Arthur Bird, called Suite in D Major for double wind quintet.

The other will feature orchestrated songs by the acclaimed singer-songwriter, Kate Schrock, a Maine native.

There will also be a silent auction that evening starting at 6 p.m. with all proceeds going to support the ASO’s mission.

Tickets cost $10 for adults, children and students will be admitted free.
