NEW YORK — Taylor Swift revealed to her fans that her mother has cancer.
Swift wrote about the news in a post on Tumblr on Thursday. Swift said she wants to keep the details private, but her mother wanted her fans to know what was going on.
The 25-year-old singer said she asked her mother to see her doctors as a Christmas gift. She said “there were no red flags,” but they later learned Andrea Swift had cancer.
Swift also encouraged her young fans to remind their parents to go to the doctor and get checkups.
