Vassalboro Daisy Troop 1139 and Brownie Troop 2000 joined together March 13 to hold a Girl Scout cookie booth at Sam’s Club. The girls had been working on their Food From the Heart patch and decided to donate their proceeds to the local food pantry, according to a news release from the Troop. At a recent Daisy meeting, the girls presented a check to the director of the Vassalboro Food Pantry for $181. The girls were told their donation could buy enough items at the Good Shepherd Food Bank to fill the pantry’s van. Leaders Linda White and Olivia Loiko were joined by Cindy Ferland, director of the Vassalboro Food Pantry.
