BATH — Josh Caldwell scored five goals and Spencer King had 20 saves as the Gardiner boys lacrosse team edged Morse 11-10 Saturday afternoon.
Logan Clarke scored a pair of goals while Mike Glazier, Tristan Hebert, Sloan Berthiaume, Jake Truman also scored for Gardiner (2-1).
Alic Beveridge scored six goals to lead Morse (2-1).
BASEBALL
WINSLOW 15, NOKOMIS 14: On Friday, Alex Berard’s bases clearing triple in the top of the seventh inning pushed the Black Raiders to the comeback win in Newport.
Winslow trailed 14-10 entering the seventh. Berard had three hits and five RBI for Winslow (4-1). Dylan Hapworth had three hits, including a three-run home run in the first inning, for the Black Raiders. Ben Smith had three hits, scored four runs, and earned the win in relief for Winslow.
Noah Kershner had three hits for Nokomis (0-4), including a double.
MONMOUTH 5, HALL-DALE 4: Hunter Richardson belted a two-run double in the bottom of the seventh to send Monmouth to a dramatic comeback win over Hall-Dale at Chick Field.
The Bulldogs (2-2) rallied back from a 3-1 deficit to take the lead in the top of the seventh. Ryan Sinclair tripled to tie the game, then scored on a squeeze play to give them the lead. Sinclair also had a double and drove in three runs.
Richardson finished with three hits, including two doubles, and also picked up the win in relief for the Mustangs (3-1). Gage Cote added two hits, including a double, for the Mustangs.
WINTHROP 9, MT. ABRAM 2: Ben Allen had a triple, single and scored three runs to help lead the Ramblers to the Mountain Valley Conference victory in Winthrop.
Mario Meucci and Dakota Carter each drove in three runs for the Ramblers (4-0). Ben Caprara had two singles and two RBI as well.
Mt. Abram dropped to 0-4.
SOFTBALL
MOUNT ABRAM 13, WINTHROP 5: Olivia Davenport had three hits, drove in three runs and was the winning pitcher in the Roadrunners’ MVC win in Winthrop.
Abby Brackley added two singles and two RBI for Mount Abram (2-3). Lilly Beauregard had a two-run single for Winthrop (0-4), Mackenzie Guerin added a single and an RBI and Kayleigh Oberg tripled.
